Last month, we travelled to Ghana together with our solution partners to conduct further research and develop detailed plans to show how their solutions to mitigate plastic pollution will deliver maximum benefit for communities in Ghana.
Day 2: Blue Skies Factory Visit and A Trip to Zulu Pineapple Farm
During our visit to the Blue Skies factory, we had the opportunity to tour their recycling plant and also their Zulu pineapple farm. Throughout the trip, our solution providers gained valuable insights regarding plastics in fresh produce and agriculture and some of the valuable steps that can be taken to help mitigate the use of plastics in the industry.
FRESHPPACT is run in conjunction with Blue Skies, the University of Northampton, and several significant partners, including Waitrose & Partners and the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC), HPW, THE FOOD PEOPLE LIMITED, Fruitnet Media International, and the respected Fresh Produce Journal.
